SCOM v.Next

As a TAP partner I knew these things since july but now, since this TechEd week, it's out and here are some facts about the next version of Operations Manager (OM10 or 2012 as they call it at the moment):

• no more RMS! In the new version there will only be equal MS. Failover for agents will also be implementated as load balancing for SDK/console connections.
• network monitoring will come with the next version and it looks not that bad. Looking forward what the network guys will say... ;-)
• .NET/JEE monitoring will be implemented.
• Outside-In monitoring to monitor your websites from an external monitoring point.
• some UI changes
• authoring changes also (looking forward what here comes)

An early beta is announced for Q2/2011, RTM for Q4/2011. At least at the moment...
